What This Page Cannot Do: a scope note
This page can point you toward independent help and explain some practical habits worth keeping. It cannot switch on any control over your gambling, because no such control exists here.
Deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are all things a reader sets up inside an account with an operator. This site has no account system, no form and no server that processes an application of any kind, so none of those controls can be turned on, checked or enforced from anything published on this page.
Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place on it. Any age check happens at the destination site once you follow an operator link. In the same way, there is no advertising network or behavioural profiling running on these pages, so nothing here is aimed at a reader based on signs of risky play.
Independent Help: three organisations
Every page of this site, including this one, links to three independent gambling-help organisations: begambleaware.org, gamblingtherapy.org and gamcare.org.uk. These are the only links of that kind here, and no others are listed.
Those three links are also the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. They carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one of them, unlike the operator links elsewhere on the site.
Age Restriction and Operator Terms
The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this site, including on the front page and at the end of every operator listing. It is a condition stated on every page, not something checked here.
Each of the ten operator listings closes with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice. Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site. Each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that point the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.
Practical Habits: before you play
Decide the amount you are willing to spend before you start, and treat it as already spent the moment play begins. Deciding in advance removes the pressure of judging in the moment, when it is harder to think clearly about money.
Never chase a loss by increasing a stake to win back what has gone. A loss chased with a bigger bet usually turns one loss into two, because the odds have not changed in your favour.
Keep gambling out of money that is borrowed or earmarked for something else, such as rent or bills. Spending only what is genuinely spare money keeps a loss contained to an amount you can afford to lose.
Take breaks during a session rather than playing in one uninterrupted stretch. A short pause gives you a chance to notice whether you are still enjoying it or just continuing out of habit.
If gambling stops feeling like entertainment and starts feeling like something you need to do, talk to someone about it early, rather than waiting. Involving another person, whether a friend, family member or one of the independent organisations linked above, brings in a perspective you may not have while alone with it.
